background/profile

Jun had always had ambitions. Ever since he was young, he had known that he wanted to do something that held some sort of importance; Jun's main problem had been choosing what he wanted to do. He had been one of those annoying people who seemed to be good at everything they did, all the while not even realising the talents they had and being overly modest about it all.

Honestly, Jun couldn't ever say that he had chosen his career path as an actor himself. He had gone to a rich school, and being popular as he was had been cast as the lead in the school's end of year production. It had just so happened that one of his classmates had a director for a father, who had wanted him in a film; Jun had found no reason to not accept the role, and somehow he found himself as he was now, seven years older, well established in his acting career, and still secretly lacking confidence in his abilities.

Quite honestly, Jun wasn't happy. He wasn't unhappy per se - more like a sort of in-between, a general kind of permanently "okay". With his growing fame, Jun had lost contact with the friends he'd had before, and hadn't been able to trust the new people he met to not have ulterior motives for wanting to know him. With no one to make him happy, it wasn't really surprising that he felt as he did.

When the opportunity arose for Jun to take a break, he'd jumped at the chance. He'd put his career first for so long that he'd forgotten about himself. The cruise seemed like it could be the perfect chance for a bit of self discovery, for meeting new people - or so Jun hoped.
